Ingredients:
- 1/2 pound ground meat
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- Garlic powder
- Onion powder
- Salt
- Italian herb seasoning
- 3 oz. tomato paste (half a 6 oz. can)
- 2 cups boiling water
- 2 beef boullion cubes
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- Spaghetti or other pasta
Directions:
Heat butter and oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add ground meat and sprinkle with salt, garlic and onion powder to taste. Cook until browned.
Dissolve the boullion cubes in the boiling water (can substiture 2 cups beef broth for the water and boullion if desired) and pour over meat. Stir in the tomato paste and sprinkle with Italian herbs, to taste. Simmer, partially covered for one hour, stirring occasionally. (If you can control the splattering, simmer uncovered and it'll be ready in about 30 minutes). Test taste to see if additional seasoning is needed.
Right before serving, stir in heavy cream. Serve over spaghetti or pasta of your choice.
